From 2007 to 2008 Czech beer Pilsner Urquell had found home at Venice Airport. Marco Polo’s tasting point is the result of a collaboration between Bellissimo and PAT architecture studio.
Pilsner Urquell is the first "pils" beer in the world, born in the mid-nineteenth century in Plzeň, Bohemia, in the current Czech Republic.
The installation designed for the Marco Polo airport in Venice recalled a Bohemian atmosphere and environment, thanks to photographs, historical material and antique textile and industrial patterns.
Following its success, in 2008 the brand decided to extend this dedicated beer garden for an extra year.
