Open House Torino
architecture and participation
A weekend, dozens of buildings open to the public. Our studio takes care of the communication of the great appointment dedicated to architecture in the city.
Bellissimo collaborates with Open House Torino as its creative partner, guiding the image of the event in promotional activities.
Open House Torino is an annual public event free of charge aimed at showcasing the richness of Turin’s architecture and urban landscape, allowing visitors to enter modern buildings, heritage sites and private residences, which are usually closed to the public.
The initiative follows an international format, born in London in 1992 from an idea by Victoria Thornton, and since then spread throughout the world.
With 111 open sites, 38 thousand visits and 15 thousand visitors, the first edition dedicated to Turin (10 and 11 June 2017) was the most successful in the history of Open House.
The 2018 edition (9-10 June) confirmed the city's enormous interest in the event: 140 planned venues, 18,000 visitors and 55,000 visits, as well as a team of 400 volunteers.
The team is already working on the organisation of the 2019 edition, which will take place on June 8 and 9. It is possible to follow Open House Torino’s Instagram and Facebook channels to keep up to date with news
Luca Ballarini is the founder and president of Open House Torino, a non-profit cultural association that launched the first Turinese edition of the international concept.
Today, the Open House Worldwide network counts more than thirty cities, scattered across each continent. In Italy, Turin followed the steps of Open House Roma (2012) and Open House Milano (2016).
Bellissimo has designed the logo, edited the visual identity and developed the communication campaign of both editions on digital channels (Facebook and website) and on paper means: billboards, flyers, press folders and folded programs distributed in 25,000 copies.
Our studio has also made t-shirts, badges, pins for the group that includes many, generous volunteers of different ages.
