Three neighbourhoods, nine hype bars. Bellissimo is in charge of the art direction for a guide to the up-and-coming parts of Milan, enriching the brand’s sophisticated style with hand-crafted maps and new graphic solutions.

Jameson, the Irish whiskey by Pernod Ricard group, handed out booklets to shops in the Isola, Navigli and Porta Venezia neighbourhoods, inviting taste lovers to discover the best new locations of the ever-changing Milan.

For each neighbourhood Jameson mapped the bars in which its whiskey was already served, with interviews to barmen, art directors and concept store owners. Each reader has the mission to complete his or her map —rigorously hand-made in our studio— checking out venues that serve the popular drink.

Bellissimo / Luca Ballarini worked on this graphic project with the aim of enriching the editorial concept through well-thought and original details, going beyond the usual visual standards for bars and shops.

This work followed an artisanal approach, as shown by the colour palette and the three neighbourhood maps — artworks made with marker pens on light crêpe paper.

The project is completed by surreal compositions on the inside covers, made out of typical images from the reference iconography, and distinctive lettering.
