Club to Club 2009

all about money

“Music is the only place where I can have freedom in my life”, said British musician Matthew Herbert.
Hence the idea for Club to Club 2009: to launch its own country, a “State of Indepen/Dance”: a nation free to experiment and also coin money.

Thus the Tuxel were born, an imaginary currency that combines the names of the two festival locations, Turin and Brussels.

The 5 and 99 Tuxel notes were printed in five different colours with a hot stamping machine to imitate real paper money, and featured the composers Karlheinz Stockhausen and Arthur Russell, in addition to the works of Le Corbusier.

Three sets of stamps and an official flag are part of the communication materials created by Bellissimo’s mint.
